Conceived in an abandoned (Ernest Born designed) warehouse in San Francisco’s Eastern Mission neighborhood - The NWBLK (the new black) served not only as the home to Steven Miller Design Studio’s offices but was an Applied Arts Mecca and Tech Entrepreneurial Playground. With a refined industrial aesthetic the galleries launched and sold an expertly curated mix of design, fashion, acoustic, sport, automobile, and user interface invention. Host to cultural events, benefits, and programed interactions and “off sites”, the stunning space became legendary in a moment of time. All at the creative direction of Mr. Miller himself.
